FAQ
What should I bring?
Discover New England Summit Marketplace (on the appointment floor) is a brochures only Showcase. We strictly enforce no banners, backdrops, pop-ups, exhibits, posters, electrical, audio visuals or similar decorations from being permitted in the Marketplace. You may bring a laptop computer or tablet. There is a separate Exhibition Area in which displays and banners are appropriate for those who purchase a 10×6 Exhibition space (note-staffing this Exhibition space is not required).
How do I stay up-to-date with announcements during the Summit?
Make sure you download the Discover New England Summit 2025 Mobile App. If you haven’t downloaded it yet please click here to find the directions and links to the correct app stores.
It’s my first time attending or I haven’t attended in a long time, how should I prepare?
Please take a few minutes to watch this informative presentation that will help you prepare and understand the tourism professionals you will be meeting with.
How many Pre-Scheduled Appointments Periods are available and how long are they?
You will have up to 38 appointments that will last 13 minutes each with 2 minutes in between. If you are a Supplier, please be prepared to be seated throughout the time in the Marketplace, this is different than year’s past. If you are a Buyer, please be prepared to move from meeting to meeting. You may want to pack comfortable shoes.
These are long sessions and there are no scheduled breaks. Both suppliers and buyers can advance block appointment slots for breaks via the appointment scheduling system. You are highly encouraged to do this.
What should I have available during appointments?
You should bring at least 100 business cards as you will be making connections with International Buyers, Receptive Operators and other Suppliers that can become long-lasting partners with you and your business.
Have a “one-sheet” available about your business (you should use the front and back), make sure to include the important information that a buyer needs to know – links to downloadable images/video, program details, static rates or receptives you work with for dynamic rates, where you are located (a map is very helpful), distance from major airports, what’s new and exciting and what else is around you that could enhance a visit.
What is appropriate dress for the International Marketplace?
Dress for the International Showcase is professional/casual business attire. Costumes are not allowed on the Marketplace floor. Comfortable shoes are recommended. *Pack your vintage roaring 20’s themed attire for the Tuesday night state dinner.
What do I do if I have a no-show during a scheduled appointment time?
Please make a note that you had a no-show and log it in your “MyDNE” app or email events@discovernewengland.org. It is important to us that registrants stick to the appointment schedule as much as possible.
