Charlene Williams is President of Marshall Communications, a Maine-based boutique marketing and public relations agency. Since joining Marshall Communications in 1997, the majority of Charlene’s work for the agency focuses on the Maine Office of Tourism and Discover New England (since 2013) accounts. She is passionate about the tourism industry in New England, the diversity of experiences the region provides and the stories that can be told from them. Charlene is a seasoned communications strategist with extensive experience working with travel media and influencers across the globe. She has helped destinations and organizations craft compelling brand narratives, develop proactive messaging strategies, and navigate the complexities of modern media.

Nancy Marshall Founded & CEO of Marshall Communications in 1991. An admitted extrovert, Nancy was born to network, and she quickly grew from a one-woman operation to an award-winning full-service agency. Nancy rarely has more than one degree of separation between her and everyone she meets.
Nancy’s commitment to living a client’s business is her hallmark. She became a certified ski instructor and a licensed whitewater raft guide to better represent her clients in outdoor recreation. Making connections between people for their mutual benefit is what drives her, including introducing clients to members of the media.
Nancy has represented many major clients, including the Maine Office of Tourism, and the Maine Office of Business Development, among many others. Her expertise in personal branding and crisis communications has helped many individuals and organizations nationwide. Nancy and her team created the first PR strategy for The Orvis Company.
