Join Discover New England & Meet Boston for the Region’s Inaugural Event in Mexico City – September 8-9, 2025
Join Discover New England and Meet Boston for their inaugural storyteller evening with 30-40 leading tour companies and journalists at the iconic, luxury Marquis Reforma in the heart of Mexico City.
The event begins with an opening reception where New England’s attending delegates may bring tabletop display materials and network with guests. For the main event, four New England-based chefs will present New England’s culture, flavors and landscapes through the courses they design for this special evening.
Participating businesses from New England will be asked to arrive on Sunday, September 7. The following day, Monday, September 8, we will join our regional consultant, Travel Pie, as their team provides a market and program overview presentation.
All attending will be invited on a tour of stunning Mexico City to reinforce cultural understanding and appreciation. During the day on Tuesday, September 9, participants will have the opportunity to meet with travel trade, either through destination trainings, or pre-arranged meetings organized by Travel Pie. The main event will be held later that evening.
Why Mexico?
Discover New England and Meet Boston, with the guidance of different research experts, have identified Mexico City as an emerging market for year-round travel. Mexico has experienced consistent and gradual economic growth over the past 10 years and now has become a fundamentally middle class country with 50% of its population in the middle class and 30% in the upper class. Mexico City is a major business hub which opens up all of Latin America by providing access to many multinational media and trade headquarters. I94-FIA data has Mexican arrivals into New England up more than 14% YOY.
Cost: $1,000pp, one delegate per company. Does not include travel expenses.
